Back to School

4th August 2014

"Tús maith, leath na hoibre."It’s that time of the year again…back to school time!

There’s a busy year ahead preparing for exams, deadlines and CAO choices, be a step ahead of the rest and enrol in The Learning Workshops weekly revision classes this September…as the old Irish proverb goes ‘A good start is half the work’! With increasing emphasis during recessionary times on third level education it is more important than ever to achieve your goals and true potential. After a long summer of relaxation it is important Leaving and Junior certificate students use their time wisely and be a step ahead of the rest by enrolling in our intense Saturday classes and our weekly evening revision classes to bring you up to speed on the course material. Through motivation and expert assistance the tutors at the Learning Workshop will guide you through one of the toughest exams you will ever face. The Learning Workshop provides a relaxing haven of learning and growth, stimulating student's minds to reach their true potential. Offering a diverse range of subject choices in higher, ordinary and foundation levels. The tutors at the Learning Workshop apply fresh teaching techniques and continual assessments to engage and motivate the students. Revision courses will be held every term to reinforce lessons taught and keep students alert and focused. Also, reinforcement courses will be held at Christmas with mock exams at Easter to ensure students are confident and self-assured when it comes to June. As Director Geraldine Devery states; "Here at the Learning Workshop the student is our number one priority. As a mother I understand the stress state exams have on students...The Learning Workshop offers additional support and guidance to help them reach their maximum potential". Ideally located in quiet and safe location, the workshop offers students spacious classrooms to focus and concentrate. Following the successful Irish week in July, the Learning Workshop's first term will begin mid-September covering all written, oral and aural material. Classes will run every Thursday and Friday evening with a full day Saturday. Availability of classes will be depending on subject demand. Also, the Learning Workshop is offering supervised study classes for students in a comfortable environment with a complementary induction class on effective note taking and concentration skills. An enrollment evening will be held on Friday 10th September from 7pm to 10pm at the Learning Workshop in The Carmelite Pastoral Centre, both parents and students are welcome to come and meet our tutors. As it is vital to keep class sizes small to ensure efficient learning it is advisable to book in advance to secure a place on the course.
